COVID-19 Update 3-27-2020

3-27-20
As stated last week the Town of Winchester will continue to update you on the status of the town dealing with this state of emergency. Overall the town and the state have made great strides in preparing and addressing the publics concerns.
Again, we want to remind residents to stay calm and reach out to your neighbors (by phone) to see if they are ok or need anything. The best of line of defense is social distancing, handwashing and staying home when you are sick. A reminder: please support all our local business that are open. Please visit the CDC website or watch your local news to get correct and current information on the COVID-19 virus. The state has also set up a hotline. Please dial 211 on your phone. Anyone caring for the elderly in your homes please refer to the CDC website for guidance on protecting your loved ones.
The town hall building is closed to the public from entering the building until further notice BUT ALL departments are still there to serve you. We can be contacted by phone or email and offering curbside service for all your needs. When determined necessary, on a case by case basis, residents may be allowed to enter to finalize a registration transaction or other similar transactions. Registrations can be done by mail and email. Please call for assistance. The lobby of the Police station is now closed to the public. The libraries are closed but the transfer station is open. Our contacts are 239-4951 or Winchester-nh.gov.
Most committees and boards have stopped meeting or cut back drastically unless an application or decision is time sensitive. This does not include the Board of Selectmen. They are still meeting on Wednesday’s but now at 5pm.

Please follow the Governors orders and stay home as much as you can and no gathering of more that 10 persons. Please do get outside, get some fresh air and exercise!

Thank you
