Container #1
Glass
- Acceptable: Bottles and jars. Rinse and remove caps
- Unacceptable: window glass, mirrors, light bulbs, drinking glasses, ceramic and Pyrex dishes.
Container #2
Plastics
- Acceptable: #1 and #2 only. Rinse and remove caps
- Unacceptable: plastic bags or wrap
Metal
- Acceptable: Rinsed tin and aluminum cans, clean foil, EMPTY paint cans
Container #3
Paper, Newspaper & Phone Books
Only clean, dry papers/cardboard are suitable for recycling. Plastic must be removed from pasta and pastry boxes, etc. Cardboard and corrugated boxes must be flattened. All paper products go in the same bin.
- Acceptable: Must be clean and dry
- Unacceptable: Paper in plastic bags
Magazines & Junk Mail
- Acceptable: Single layer cardboard, corrugated cardboard, glossy newspaper inserts and envelopes. Must be clean and dry.
- Unacceptable: Gift wrap, Kleenex, paper towels, paper plates, carbon paper, hard bound books, pet food bags.
Burn Pit
Brush & Slash
- Acceptable: Clean, untreated wood, 5 inches or less in diameter, untreated lumber with an end cross-sectional area of 24 inches or less.
- Unacceptable: Painted, treated or glued material, plywood, chipboard or particleboard.
Loads will be inspected.
