Household Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste will not be accepted at the Winchester Transfer Station.

• Residents may take advantage of the Keene Transfer Station Household Hazardous Waste Collection to dispose of these products. There is a charge for this service.
• The collection site is located adjacent to the Keene Recycling Center on Route 12 North.   
• Almost every home has products that should be disposed of in an environmentally, safe manner. Items include: anything containing mercury, such as batteries, thermometers, thermostats, florescent lamps, as well as antifreeze, turpentine, lead based paint, WD40, brake fluid, pesticides, old cleaning supplies, charcoal starter, etc. Please take advantage of this service.
