Town Clerk / Tax Collector

HELP US HELP YOU!

Dear Customers:

With a resurgence of Covid 19, your Town Clerk and Tax Collector are operating differently than we have in normal times. At the Town Clerk Tax Collector’s Office there is a doorbell installed at the right of our basement entry. Customer who ring the bell will be allowed into the building one person at a time. That means…everyone waits outside…despite the weather. Motor vehicle transactions and marriage licenses DO require in person processing. To eliminate your wait we want you to make your water/sewer payments, tax payments and requests for certified vital record documents by using the drop box installed just below the doorbell at the basement entry, good ole fashion USPS or make your payments online at www.winchester-nh.gov If you require a receipt for your payment(s), you will need to include a self addressed stamped envelope and one can be mailed back to you.

Transfer station stickers can be purchased at the transfer station. Their hours are Tuesday, 8am to 4pm; Thursday, 8am to 7pm and Saturdays opening at 8am and closing at 5pm.

We are not processing dog licenses until the start of 2021. Fees for unregistered 2020 dog will be waived.

If you have any questions or would like assistance with our online payment kiosk please call us at 603.239.4951 ext 2 or ext 4, Monday 7am to 4pm; Tuesday to Thursday 7am to 5pm and Friday 7am to 1:30pm.

We miss seeing you but are doing everything we can to keep you and the town hall staff safe.
